Position Vacant - Mechanic / Diesel Fitter

This position offers diversity in the role as mechanic as Council operates an extensive range of plant ranging from light equipment to heavy earthmoving machinery and light vehicles. If you have ability in fault finding, good communication skills, are self-motivated, dedicated and experienced motor mechanic or diesel fitter, then you are strongly encouraged to apply for this position.

Tourism Officer

Written applications closing with the undersigned at 5:00pm on Wednesday 10th September, 2008 are invited for the position of Tourism Officer at the Quilpie Visitors Information Centre (VIC).

 

The duties require the successful applicant to ensure the effective operation of the VIC including the Museum and Art Gallery.  This is a hands-on position with the majority of the time dedicated to answering public enquiries.  This position requires a person who is enthusiastic, friendly, has a high level of written and verbal communication skills and is proficient in the use of PC based software.   Having a sound knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices relevant to local government is desirable.  Relevant experience in the operation of a tourist information centre and museum is also desirable.   

Part Time Tourism Officer

PERMANENT PART TIME TOURISM OFFICER

 

Written applications closing with the undersigned at 5:00pm on Wednesday, 10th September, 2008 are invited for the position of Part Time Tourism Officer within Quilpie Shire Council.

 

The duties require the successful applicant to assist visitors and potential visitors to the area. Other duties could include general office administration or assisting with community events. This position requires an enthusiastic person who can demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication skills and is proficient in the use of PC based software.  Relevant experience in the operation of a Tourist Information Centre and Gallery/Museum is desirable as is having sound knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices relevant to Local Government and the ability to work as a member of a team.
