Student Bursary 2009 is again open The bursary program provides an exciting opportunity for residents aged under 25 living within the Quilpie Shire to undertake training or study. The Student Bursary may be offered for up to $5,000 a year for a maximum of two years. Full guidelines are available from Ms Monica James at the Council office.
Water Main Upgrade Coe Drilling will commence work on the water main upgrade on Monday 17th August 2009. Affected areas include Gyrica, Winchu and Chipu Streets. Works will involve road closures and limited access to properties. There may also be short interruptions to the water supply in the affected areas during connection to the new mains. It is expected that this work will take approximately 4-5 weeks. Council appreciates your co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience caused. Please direct any enquiries to 07 4656 0500.
Weekly Activities at the CWA Hall Every Monday & Wednesday afternoon between 10am and 12noon activities are being held at the CWA Hall including Craft, Treadmill & Exercise Bike, Trivia & Puzzles, Euchre, Wii Fit, Pool and 500.
